Synopsis

There is a single die that rolls unexpected things. The examiner has asked you to roll the die until the experiment is complete. Strange things start to happen the more you roll. Can you navigate the randomness, or become a slave to the will of the die?

The Die of Many Things is a short, single-player interactive text adventure where the rolls of a six-sided die determines where the story will end up. There are 4 primary endings and many more intertwining paths. The narrative can jump from dark to whimsical at the toss of a die! As well, many of the story elements are randomized, changing the story every time!

This game was made using Unity by Caleb Martin and Coleman Spears for the 2022 GMTK Game Jam.

This was highly entertaining.  Haven't gotten all the endings yet, but what did happen was, at very least, odd.

I really like the atmosphere the game builds, blending dark and whimsical in a really great way. The art is just a beautiful cherry on top.
